
Build a windows application and Internet Explorer toolbar, to secure address books on computers to protect
them from email worms. We use a special hashing technique to secure email addresses.

Build a commercial website in ASP.NET. The payment system uses the PayPal integration techniques
(http://nadluru.homedns.org/RJB_Enterprises/Project/home.aspx).

Technologies used: .NET library with Visual Studio 2003. MS SQL Server 2000, JSP, Dreamweaver.

Research and critical technology development for iDocument project. The project involves building software for
taxonomical classification of electronic documents based on their content. The goal of the project is to properly index
the documents for better searching ability. Also there were additional benefits of integrating the core engine with MS
WORD so as to catalog the documents when created.

Responsibility
Research available text mining papers and tools.
Build core document processing engine for
extracting and mining the content of electronic
documents using Web Services, customizing
LEMUR and .NET.
Build prototype applications like indexing
documents downloaded by a crawler.
Technology Used
ASP.NET, Java,
C#, Web Services,
EJB, XML, SQL

(LEMUR – a text
processing
package developed
by CMU).
Temple University, Philadelphia, PA
Graduate Student
Research Assistant: Research on proactive anti-viruses (patent pending).
Teaching Assistant: Teaching Operating Systems and Networks and Network Security to undergraduate
students. Responsibility is to conduct labs for students and help them in debugging their programs.

Natural Language Processing:
Statistical Machine Translation by
Parsing, An Improvement to MTV
(Multi-Tree Viewer)
Responsibility/Description
Research about Machine Translation techniques and in
particular about techniques using parsing. Evaluation
of the translation process is crucial for improving
translation techniques using parsing. Our project
contributes to the process by enhancing Multi-Tree
Viewer, a toolkit developed by NLP lab at NYU in
Technology Used
Java
Examining the effects of the
perceived capabilities of various
actors and affordance provided by
environmental constants to further
the proposition of Collaborative
Action Theory (CoAcT) (Grad)
Improving fast query-optimized
kernel machines that use
incremental approximate nearest
support vectors (Grad)

Linux (Undergrad)
collaboration with others. Our contribution is accessible
at http://nlp.cs.nyu.edu/bugzilla
Build a website for online survey using session
variables for controlled navigation through the survey
pages.
The project is about collecting and analyzing statistical
information about how users react to different
scenarios. The project was done as part of the course
in User Interface Design.

Implementing the research paper – Fast queryoptimized kernel machines using incremental
approximate nearest support vectors.

Improved the idea by improving computational
complexity thus saving computational time.

Implementation was done in MATLAB using SVM
package and C as supplements.

Research the intrusion detection techniques that
use data mining.

Understand how contrast classifiers (a special
technique that uses unlabeled data to improve
classification prediction).

Use the contrast classifier technique for building
network intrusion predictor. The data used was
from University of California, Irvine KDD cup 1999
data.
