Join us at the beautiful Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, a National Trust for
Historic Preservation Member. The hotel offers exceptional accommodations
and service in the heart of downtown. The hotel connects to The Avenue,
which features exclusive shops, restaurants, cinemas and is within walking
distance of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and the Great Lakes
Science Center. Check-in is at 3:00pm and checkout at 12:00noon. The guest
rooms are complete with a work desk with lamp, 2-line speaker-phone with
voicemail, TV with remote control with cable/satellite TV and in-room
movies, newspaper delivered (Mon-Fri), minibar, complimentary in-room
coffee, iron and ironing board, trouser press, hairdryer, in-room safe and cribs
are available.
Conference room rates of $145 plus 14.5% tax for single or double occupancy
are available at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel and the Cleveland Marriott
Downtown at Key Center. Hotel reservations may be made at

complete and mail the hotel registration before March 15, 2002. After that
date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.

TRANSPORTATION:
Airport shuttle service is available to and from the Cleveland International
Airport. Call Royal Fleet Shuttle Service at 216/631-5598 to arrange
transportation. Fees are $10 one-way. Airport shuttle fees are subject to
change without notice. Taxi rate ranges from $24 to 26 one-way.
REGISTRATION: Conference registration will be held in the Whitehall Room on the Third
Floor. Registration begins Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 4:00pm and will be
open each day starting at 7:30 am. All conference materials including
registration programs, name badges and meal tickets will be distributed at
registration.
PROGRAM
SCHEDULE:
A preliminary agenda is posted on our Web site (www.nlada.org or
http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/ejc/). It will continue to be updated as
we confirm the faculty and workshops. A final agenda with specific session
room locations will be available at registration.
MEALS:
Your registration fee includes the following meals: Thursday opening lunch
and reception, Friday continental breakfast and lunch, and Saturday
continental breakfast and lunch. If you or your organization would like to
purchase extra meal tickets, please contact Aiyana Bullock at 202/452-0620
x207. Lunch meal tickets for your guests are $25 each.
CANCELLATION Cancellations of main conference registrations received in writing no
POLICY:
later than April 1, 2002 will be refunded less a $125 administrative charge.
After April 1, registration fees are not refundable but registration may be
transferred to another individual. Registrations cannot be transferred to
another event. Cancellations of pre-conference event registrations received
in writing no later than April 1, 2002 will be refunded subject to a $25
administrative charge.
RESOURCE
& EXHIBITS
ROOM:
The Exhibit Area / Resource Room will be highlighted by the NAPBCO silent
auction and the Host Committee’s booth. Other exhibits will include
representatives from publications, computer services and much more. Space
is still available! There are many opportunities for individuals, programs,
organizations and corporations to get involved with the conference. If you are

CONTINUING
EDUCATION
NLADA has applied for continuing legal education credits in all states that
have mandatory CLE requirements. CLE forms, instructions, and a list of
accrediting states will be included in the on-site registration packets.
ROOM
The hotel is fully accessible for people whose mobility is impaired and has
ACCESSIBILITY: guest rooms adapted for wheelchairs. Make the appropriate request directly
with the hotel when reserving your room. If you have a physical challenge
that may impact your participation in this conference, please contact Dorothy
Jackson (312/988-5766) immediately to discuss accommodations. We cannot
ensure the availability of appropriate accommodations without prior
notification of need.
RECREATION:
The Renaissance offers guests a complimentary fitness center. Located on
the first floor, guests access the health club with their guest room key. The
health club offers a variety of modern exercise equipment. Available 24
hours.
SMOKING
POLICY:
Smoking guest rooms are available at the Renaissance. Make your request
when reserving your room. Smoking is not permitted in any of the meeting
rooms.
MEETING
Sessions will be posted on reader boards located in the hotel conference room
INFORMATION: levels as well as on the Hotel Channel on your in-room television.
PARKING:
The Renaissance offers self-parking as well as valet parking. Daily parking
is $12, overnight is $16 and both have in and out privileges. Valet prices are
the same.
CHILD CARE:
If you need assistance in making child care arrangements, we suggest that
you call the Concierge at the Renaissance for referrals. NLADA and ABA
does not endorse the referrals. You hold responsibility for
investigating child care providers. Please contact the Concierge
regarding rates, reservations, and additional information.
CLEVELAND:

WEATHER:
The weather in Cleveland is cool in the spring. Lows in the 40’s,
Highs in the 70’s. Meeting rooms tend to be cool so you may wish to bring a
light jacket or sweater.
