At the completion of level B, the student will be able to:

Introduce the basic terms : Promotional advertising , Institutional advertising , Media ,

Print media, Broadcast media , Online advertising.
3 Explain the meaning of advertising, and what is the main purpose of advertising
4 Explain the differences between the promotional and institutional advertising?
The teacher will bring newspapers and magazines, have the students to find examples of

promotional and institutional advertising.
Ask students to define the word media and let them try to name the different types of

media.(open discussion)
Ask students - Have you ever made a purchase based on newspaper or magazine
7 advertisement? Explain the types of print media, their advantages and disadvantages.
(Open discussion)
8 Explain direct mail advertising, write the answers on the board & give examples.
Divide students into groups & ask each group to select any product , develop an
9 advertising poster for this product , choose the most suitable print media to advertise
this product & mention why they choose this media.
Ask students why so many businesses use broadcast media for advertising. Write the

answers on the board
Let the students compare the advantages and disadvantages of radio and television.

Have students write the answers on their notebook.
12 Discuss with students the factors that affect an advertiser's choice of promotional media.
13 Assign and review the vocabulary terms.

15 Assign and review the appropriate activities in the students’ activity workbook.
