I. Focus of the month
First Term Examination
S.1-S.2 Exams will be held from 15 December to 23 December.
S.3-S.6 Exams will be held from 13 December to 23 December.
Students are urged to start preparing for the exam as soon as possible.
II. School News
1. A staff meeting is scheduled on 3 December, and on that day school will finish at 3:35 p.m.

A table-tennis competition was held between 18 and 29 October.

The Boys Athletics Team participated in the invitation relay of St. Joan of Arc Secondary
School on 28 October and won the third place. Members were 4B Choy Wai Kuen, 3D Li
Chun Hoi, 4D Cheung Cheuk Hei and 4A Lin Shun Shing.
2. Badminton Team : Boys Grade A
The Team won one game and lost three in the inter-school competitions.
3. Volleyball Team : Girls Grade A
The Team won two games and lost two in the inter-school competitions.
5A Cheng Cheung Sing and 5D Wong Wing Hang were awarded a referee certificate in
inter-school competitions.

V. Students Affairs
1. A talk on further studies will be given to S.7 students by students and teachers of Lingnam
University.
2. A talk for S.1 and S.4 Students will be given by the school liaison officer of the HK Police
Force.
3. ‘Fairwood’ will be made the school lunch supplier from December onwards. Should parents
have any comments or suggestions, please contact the Assistant Principal, Mr. Wong Kai Yui.
4. Class photos were taken by Kitman Company.
5. Primary 5 and Primary 6 tutorial classes started on November 20. The classes are held on
Saturday afternoons.
VI. Pastoral Care
1. Students are to put on the winter uniform from 6 December onwords. Parents are urged to see
to it that their children put on proper winter uniform before going to school.

2. The Edi Celebration was held on 21 November. Over a thousand people joined the festive
activities. Performances including singing, dancing, Chinese poem & English poem
recitation and instrumental music attracted a large audience. Games stalls and the snack bar

3. A talk on ‘Conflicts and Harmony in Multi-religious Culture-Islam and western Christianity’
was given on 22 November by Mr. Li of the Harmony in Diversity Scheme of the CUHK.

XI. Parent-Teacher Association Cont’d
2. ‘Parents’ Chatroom ’opens on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 2-3:30 p.m. in Room 109,
IKTMC. There is no standard format and parents are encouraged to freely exchange
ideas on how to raise children and share their difficulties for mutual support. Parents are
also welcome to make constructive suggestions to the school to improve the delivery of
education. The date of the coming meeting: Saturday, 11th December 2004.
3. The Inauguration Ceremony of the 8th PTA Executive Committee was held on 5th
November 2004 in the school hall. We wish to thank the supervisor, Mr. Ha Kei Wai, for
officiating at the ceremony and for his encouraging words. It was also the occasion of
S.1-S.4 Parents’ Night. The parent committee members prepared some snacks for the

4. The coming Exco meeting will be held at 6:30p.m. on Friday, 10th December 2004 in room
109. Parents are welcome to sit in at the meeting. Interested parents please contact the
Assistant Principal, Mr. Wong Kai Yui.
5. The Eid Celebration was held on 21st November in the school playground. More than
twenty parent volunteers gave support and prepared lunch-boxes for over 200 people. We
also hosted a game stall. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers for
their generous support. The committee members made ninety jars of XO sauce for PTA
charity sale and more than $2,000 was raised for PTA.
6. The date for the family picnic is to be decided. Parents are welcome to give suggestions on
the venue and group activities.
