FORDHAM UNIVERSITY GABELLI SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ONE-CREDIT INTERNSHIP TUTORIAL BRONX, NEW YORK REQUIREMENTS FOR RECEIVING ONE CREDIT Students who enroll in the Internship Tutorial are expected to meet the following requirements: Fill out and sign the REGISTRATION FORM AND STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY (3rd page of this document) and submit within 2 weeks of starting your internship if possible. Attend two workshops led by Gabelli Personal & Professional Development, one on Internship Success and one as a mid-point internship check-in. These workshops will be offered during the fall semester and attendance will be taken. Conduct one informational interview as part of your internship learning. Be sure to follow the etiquette guidelines in the Networking Guide online. o Your informational interview must be of a professional either at your internship site (including your supervisor or co-workers) or of another professional in a career field of interest. o We will not accept interviews of immediate family members or fellow students. Submit a final essay and evaluation of your internship, including a summary of your informational interview which must include the name and contact information for the person you interviewed. Some of the questions to be covered in the final essay include: o What were your responsibilities? o What did you learn from your experience? o Would you suggest that a fellow student do the same internship? o Did the experience prepare you for the business world? Please explain. Paper is due by the week of finals and must be submitted online. If we do not receive your paper; you will receive an “F”. NOTE: WE CANNOT GIVE CREDIT FOR AN INTERNSHIP YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED IN THE PAST. Be safe. 9. Be smart. 10.
