Henning did a great job with helping Nick. He was able to raise his reading score 30
points to 600. That was what we needed. He also increased is writing score to 690.
That means his new superscore is 2040. He took the ACT this past Saturday and are
hoping for a little improvement there as well. We are really pleased.
We will be back again taking advantage of your tutors and classes in a few years
when our 8th grader starts preparing for the tests.

It's been quite a while since we last communicated and I hope all is well with the
both of you! I'm entering my Spring quarter at UCR and I can't believe I'm almost
done with my freshman year of college! First quarter was a challenge (academically)
for me, but I worked really hard my winter quarter and am happy with having a
current cumulative GPA of 3.4. I'm going to work even harder this last quarter and
hopefully push that GPA a little higher:) It's so strange to think that almost 2 years
ago I was a high school junior who was scared of not even GETTING into college.
Speaking about high school juniors, a close family friend is headed your way soon.:)
One of my best friends is entering her senior year this coming fall and asked me for
tips for surviving the havoc of testing, applications, etc. and I immediately thought
about the both of you! Her name is Chiharu and is an especially dedicated and
academically conscious person who is very goofy and sweet. Better yet, she has a
younger brother who is just beginning high school, so you may be better acquainted
with her and her family in the coming years.
I just want to add that I am incredibly thankful for all your help in my SAT/ACT
prep as well as the preparation for my college admission essays and I couldn't have
made it to this stage in life without you. I hope you both a prosperous future, you

I wanted to share some good news. Sarah Kantrowitz gained 220 points on her SAT
scores this round from the December test! She had a 110 point gain on the critical

Hello Paul,
I just saw my SAT scores. I got...
650 Critical Reading - 680 Math - 610 Writing - 1940 TOTAL
This is a 450 point increase over 1490, my first PSAT, and a 290 point increase over
my first (and only) real SAT test score, 1650. My goal was 1900, I was happy when I
saw my score.
Your strategies really helped me on the test. I really did find several questions
where I remembered specific things you told us to get the answer. Just being
familiar with the test was of great help also, I was actually mostly nervous over
putting down all my information and doing the essay. The rest was just hard work.
I was really amazed by your positive outlook on the test while you were teaching us.

After working with Paul Jury for a few weeks, Mike's (second) SAT score increased
150 points... after increasing almost 300 points from his first practice test! Final
jump: 1390 to 1810. Thank you so much! I think he might have to apply to some
more schools, now.

Hey Paul it is Christian and I just wanted to let you that I received my ACT score
and I got a overall score of 27!!! jumped up from a 23! my breakdown was 29 in
math and English, 26 is reading and 25 in science! Thank you for you tutoring that

with my college opportunities!

I checked my newest SAT scores, and as usual, my worst section was Critical
Reading. I did a bit better on the Math, and a whole lot better on the English.
