Position Description Summary:
The post-doctoral fellow will conduct educational research in the area of serious educational game play
or other areas pertaining to health professions educational innovations. The fellow will be responsible for
development of online faculty development for serious educational team based learning. The fellow will
have oversight of content development and continuity for quests in Mimycx and oversight of an
interprofessional team of health professions students to lead the research and storyline development.
Other responsibilities relating to the academic affairs work of AACP and the creative and evaluation
components of Professions Quest will also be a part of the fellow responsibilities. The fellow will have
responsibility for review of the internet to ensure that patent and trademark rights are maintained for
Professions Quest products.
Essential Functions

Design core components and evaluate the effectiveness of Mimycx educational programs (60%)

Direct the development of faculty development and education programs based on member needs
analyses utilizing multiple education formats (15%)

Leadership responsibility for Mimycx team for oversight of game and quality (20%)

Other duties as required. (Travel 5-10%)

Technical Skill Requirements:
Ability to independently analyze literature and project data.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Experience with digital game environments a plus

Must have completed any health professions educational program with a graduate or professional
degree.
Must be capable of working independently.
Ability to work proactively required.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must have a high degree of self-motivation fueled by a fundamental interest in contributing to
health professions education and leadership in academic pharmacy.
Knowledge and skills with respect to team function and have worked or studied in an
interprofessional environment.
