AACP Governance Groups Social Media Policy
AACP encourages members to engage with our social media channels. In order to ensure that our
organization delivers the clearest and most effective messaging to all audiences, we ask that you use the
AACP social media channels offered below. We do not authorize the creation of separate social media
accounts (including Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn Groups) to represent AACP governance groups.
If Sections and SIGs are looking to better promote their work, we welcome submissions to be considered
for publication on our social media platforms and in our magazine, Academic Pharmacy Now. Here’s
how you can connect with us:

AACP LinkedIn Group
The AACP LinkedIn Group offers a place for discussion in a public and professional forum.
Additionally, we can create a private, unlisted group, specific to your Section or SIG, to act as a
designated space for collaboration with other group members. To inquire about creating a
private LinkedIn group, please contact Kyle Bagin, communications coordinator, at
kbagin@aacp.org.
Please keep in mind private Section or SIG groups will require at least one designated manager.
After being given manager rights, this person will be responsible for overseeing content and
managing group members.
To share or promote news with others outside of your Section or SIG, we recommend using our
main LinkedIn Group.

Twitter (@AACPharmacy)
Twitter is a great tool for monitoring and engaging in conversations around academia and
healthcare. If your school has news to share via Twitter, mention us (@AACPharmacy) in your
tweet and we’ll consider commenting or disseminating the information to our audience, based
on topic relevancy.

Facebook (Facebook.com/AACPharmacy)
We regularly look for news on our member school’s Facebook pages to “like” and “share” with
our audience. To help us better find your news, feel free to tag us in any relevant content.
We always welcome collaboration! Please reach out to Colleen M. Miglio, governance programs
assistant, at cmiglio@aacp.org, if you have further questions, or concerns.
