Job Duties: The Senior Multimedia-Based Training Developer position requires extensive understanding and experience with technical and design software related to Computer and Web based Training Development. The position is responsible for programming interactive, database-driven, multi-media content features for Quick Start projects, using state-of-the-art programming languages and technologies. The incumbent will provide critical input regarding concept, structure, functionality and design of Multi Media-based/web-based features and applications. This is a high visibility position that requires the individual to meet important deadlines and have the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information. Travel may be required. Performs programming of content features for web based applications using PHP and MySQL, HTML and Access. Provides support in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, ,ASP, MS Access (both programming within Access and programming to access the DB externally via ASP), Dreamweaver, PHP, XML, Ajax, CSS, or other appropriate applications in order to transfer/translate print products into online, interactive products, and client projects. Ensures stability and functionality of multi-media modules. Produces Multimedia-Based training marketing, advertising and promotional materials for Quick Start. Researches current and emerging technologies and reviews and evaluates commercial Multimedia-Based products for continuous improvement. Troubleshoots development issues between associated software. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field *and* Five years of programming experience **OR** Certificate or Associates degree from an accredited program *and* Six years of programming experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or a related field *and* Five years of experience building and administering Web servers on UNIX platforms using PHP, MySQL, HTML, Access, Flash, Linux Fedora RedHat, Apache, Oracle, Smarty, Encryption, and Secure Web standards **OR** Twelve years of verifiable programming work experience using the software packages and systems listed. Familiarity and knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Excel, Roxio, Sound Forge, IIS, remote desktop, FTP, and website usability issues are also preferred. Proven professional experience creating modules with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate are highly desireable.
