Fight Back
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou
art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue
which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the
servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from me, says the LORD.
Why does it appear that everybody is doing well and you have to fight everyday for
everything? Peace of mind is a struggle, finances are a struggle, relationships are strained
or everyday is bad. Satan wants you to believe that you can’t win.
What you have to lay hold of and get settled in your mind is that Jesus has won the war
and has given you the weapons to win the battle. Satan has been defeated, but like that
roaring lion in 1 Peter 5:8 he tries imposing his apparent prose on you. James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Don’t buy into the lie that all hope is lost, fight back. The victory that Jesus obtained for
you on the cross is real but you have to believe it. In Romans 4:21 And being fully
persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. That’s right,
every promise of overcoming and victory is yours if you will believe. In the Living Bible
in Psalms 112:7,8 He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen.
For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not
afraid, but can calmly face his foes.
You’re in a fight but you have the victory if you believe it and act on it. Don’t give up or
give in because you think the Christians around you that are happy with no problems.
They have problems just like you but they have learned that Jesus has already won the
victory and they stand in that victory no matter how they feel.
It says in Hebrews 12: 12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the
feeble knees; that means get up and get started living out the victory in Jesus. Quit going
by how you feel but go by the Word of God and believe that where the true source of
victory is.
