Elem - Mid-America Montessori Teacher Training Institute

Elem. Book list-These books and should be purchased by the student before classes
begin. Many of these books may be purchased online and some even used at a
discounted price. If you decide to wait until your arrival to Omaha, “The Bookworm
Bookstore” will sell these books at cost to Mid-America students. It is suggested that
students ask their practicum site for suggestions of materials which the student should
prepare during the summer before they arrive in Omaha. We also suggest an agreement
between the student and practicum site for reimbursement costs (if any) to be established.
Office Max, 132nd.Center St. will give Mid-America students a 20% discount on
reproduction and laminating. It is hard to estimate a cost because each teacher’s teaching
situation and availability of books and materials will be different, but you may want to
estimate a minimum of $300-$500. See the acceptance letter for more specific suggested
items.
