-Create your very own Star Magazine, National Enquirer or any other trashy magazine
you find at the supermarket check out line. You know . . the ones where someone had an
alien baby, a super star gained 1,000lbs. and other crazy stuff like that!!!! Use historical
facts and people from the time period we are currently studying and create a 2 page
tabloid from that era. Be sure to use facts and REAL information, but also spice it up!!!.
2. Trading Cards of History

-Choose at least three people that are currently being studied. Create baseball card like
trading cards with their picture, name and other information on the front, and facts and
figures from their life on the back. Follow the project rubric for directions and
requirements.
3. Historical Mobile

-Create a mobile using facts, pictures and other information about the unit that is being
studied. The mobile should have at least three (3) branches and include a title placard at
the top. Follow the rubric for instructions and project requirements.
4. WHOSE Brain? Poster

-What ideas, troubles, thinking and memories were part of a historical figure’s mind?
You tell me!!!! Draw the head of a current historical person or type of person we are
currently studying and then diagram his/her brain by percentage of each thing or topic
they would be thinking about. Write a short 1-2 paragraphs explaining your diagram to
help us understand. For example Mr. Fleck’s Brain: 60% Family, 35% Old Dead Guys,
and 5% Thinking up harder work fro students!!!! Ha!
5. Annotated Mural

-Draw a mural of events, people, and or places from the time period we are currently
studying. The mural should be drawn on butcher paper and be no smaller than 3ft. by 4ft.
Each picture on the mural should have a paragraph explanation of why that person, place,
