MISSION
I hope everyone had a
wonderful summer!
Thanks to all of you who
have returned missing
toys over the summer.
I’m feeling much better
now! We are proud to
announce the birth of our
new grandson Kylen,
born in June, joining
Kailee, Madison and
Taylor. Aren’t they
beautiful? Also, Sarah
and Joel will be expecting
their first child in October.
There will be even more
pictures next time! Just a
reminder that licensed
and unlicensed care
providers are required to
take 20 hours of training
in their first year and 2
workshops a year after
that. I look forward to
seeing you all again at
the upcoming workshops!

Mission Child Care Core Training
The following training sessions facilitated by
Joanne Newlands, (E.C.E) are intended for
individuals who are interested in becoming
family child care providers and for providers
who have recently started operating a family
child care business (either license-not-required
or licensed). The training is primarily for those
who have had little, or no experience, or
previous training relating to family child care.
Each session lists some of the key subject matter
that will be covered. Space is limited to 10
participants to allow for optimum participation.
This course will provide the entire 20 hours of
training required in the first year.
Please see the attachment for
dates and more details.
Please note that Agassiz/Harrison care
providers are welcome to sign up for any
courses or workshops being offered in Mission.
In the past the majority of workshops have had
to be cancelled due to low registrations.
We would like to have feedback from the
Agassiz/Harrison Caregivers regarding
workshops. Please let us know what types of
workshops that you would be interested in as
well as the dates and times that would best suit
you. This would be very helpful to us in
planning future workshops. Thank you.
