-The book’s example is interaction between husband and wife. A doctor and a
patient have a reciprocal role because a patient show own body where wants to heal,
and a doctor look at body of the patient. A mother and her daughter have reciprocal

define your status. If so, what are the reciprocal roles?

Review the two Status Webs Charts above and
answer the following questions:

Examine your master status. What are the role strains you experience when
fulfilling your master status? Explain how you experience this strain.
Reading Activities and Notes
I am a student of RIST and also I am commuting cram school in after school. I
have to do school homework and cram school’s assignment each other.

Examine both statuses you identified. What are some possible role conflicts that
might occur between these two statuses? Explain these conflicts and why they
might happen.
For example a teacher has the problem sometimes. Teacher has to pull together
students all the time. In addition, a teacher must do own assignment for children
but he/she have to take care of his/her family either.
Vocabulary Synthesis: For each word, create your own synthesized definition using
your own words. Review the VRS and the notes above. Then, synthesize the two
definitions to create one definition for the key terms below. Do not use the book for
this exercise.
