using American Housing Survey for the internship team project using SAS

 Wrote a group research paper called “Why are foreclosure rates in Prince William
County, Manassas, and the City of Manassas Park high when compared to other
parts of Washington, DC metro area: Subprime mortgages, immigrants, and
recession.” (investigate who is affected, where foreclosures are happening, and
what is happening to those suffering foreclosures and provide policy
recommendations for stakeholders)
 Responsible for literature review, quantitative analysis (using HMDA, McDash
loan performance data, and Census data), and qualitative analysis present the final
report to the Urban Institute and Non profit organization Roundtable
 Conducting interviews with various stakeholders (non profit organizations,
government agencies, loan and housing counselors, homeless shelters) to gather
anecdotal evidence and identify trends in people seeking help and neighborhoods
experiencing foreclosures

 Provide research assistance for projects initiated by the GMA (Global Monitoring
and Analysis) program
 Co-authored a paper “The impact of labor regulations: Measuring the
effectiveness of legal norm in a developing country (Tanzania).” Produced all
charts and tables presented in the paper using STATA and policy implications
 Conducted legal research for the ILO’s database on Conditions of Work and
Employment Laws (www.ilo.org/travaildatabase). Researched working condition
legislations (minimum wage, maternity protection, working time) and
summarized legislations in the database for New Zealand, Canada, US, and UK.

In charge of Daily Monitoring project, conducting daily research (using primary
and secondary resources) regarding any amendments in country’s law or any
other new relevant information on maternity protections, wage (minimum wage,
collective bargaining), working time, and work organization.
 Assist producing country profile report (Tanzania on June) and preparatory work
on ILO publications on working conditions
 Conducted legal research on working conditions law for domestic workers’
around the world. Identified and consulted legislative texts and secondary
materials from ILO member states, drafting concise information about changes in
working conditions law
