Does your child love to build? The Center for Architecture Foundation offers architecture-themed birthday
parties for children ages 6 - 12. Parties are an exclusive membership privilege of Patron level Members of
the Center for Architecture Foundation and are available on Saturdays at 10:30 AM or 2 PM. Parties last for
two hours and include a hands-on building activity and Center for Architecture pencil and tote bag for
each guest (makes a great goody bag!).
Program Cost: $750. This fee includes an annual Patron Level Membership ($150 value) to the Center for
Architecture Foundation. Existing Individual or Family Members will need to upgrade to the Patron level;
party cost is then an additional $600.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your program. We accept credit cards, checks to
“Center for Architecture Foundation” or cash. Full payment is due one month prior to the event. Any
checks returned for insufficient funds will incur a $50 service charge.

Party Themes:
Streetscapes (ages 6+): Party guests explore how architects use shapes to design a building’s façade. Each
guest then creates his/her own building façade using pre-cut shapes and collage materials. Facades stand
up to create a Happy Birthday streetscape!
Build your Dream House (ages 6+): The sky’s the limit as you and your friends craft your own unique
dream houses from our wide selection of craft and building materials.
City Design (ages 8+): What kind of city would you like to live in? You and your guests decide on the
types of buildings and other features to include in your city, then have fun designing and building your
own mini metropolis on our blank city map. Guests take their constructions home as an additional party
favor.
Geodesic Dome (ages 10+): Celebrate your birthday inside a 14’ geodesic dome that you and your friends
have built! After completing the dome, guests build their own individual structural models from toothpicks
and gumdrops top take home, based on the geometry of the dome. ** Four adults required for this
program.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
 The maximum number of children allowed is 15.

Party hosts are responsible for providing one adult for every five children. Additional adults are
welcome.

Party hosts may bring a birthday treat to share at the end of the program. The Center for
Architecture will provide cups and water. Juice boxes are the only outside beverage permitted
and must be supplied by the party hosts. Hosts are also responsible for providing plates,
napkins, plasticware and candles if needed.

Lunch and/or outside decorations may not be brought into the program.

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Your program must end
at the scheduled time.

Party hosts are responsible for any damage done to the Center by the guests.

Gratuities are not required. If you enjoyed the program, please consider making a tax-deductible
donation to the Center for Architecture Foundation.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure your party. Should
you wish to cancel your program up to one month prior to your event, we will refund 50% of
party costs that have been paid to date. No refunds will be provided for programs cancelled less
than one month in advance.

Date Change Policy: Should you need to reschedule your event date, we will transfer your
deposit, but there is an additional fee of $50 to book a new date. Please note that a new event
date is dependent on availability.
