VIRGINIA COORDINATOR
NATIONAL SPANISH EXAM
Virginia needs a Coordinator for the National Spanish Exam!
Responsibilities include:
 Advertising the exam to Virginia Spanish teachers
 Communicating with teachers giving the exam
 Using Microsoft Excel to sort exam results
 Announcing national and local scholarships and travel awards
 Working with AATSP-VA to determine local prizes and awards
 Ordering and distributing local prizes and awards
 Submitting 1-page narrative and 1-page financial statement as annual reports to NSE and to
AATSP-VA
Additional information:
 Registration is handled by Quia
 Registration fees are paid directly to the national NSE office
 Communication is electronic
 Orientation to the position provided by 2008 coordinator
 Stipend from the national NSE organization of 5%, based on registration numbers
 2-year term, to start no later than September 15, 2008
Time requirements:
 Emails to AATSP-VA members announcing the exam and encouraging participation
 Attendance at FLAVA to advertise NSE
 Emails as necessary to answer individual questions
 Selection and Ordering of awards, prizes, and local scholarships
 Distribution of awards and prizes
