The stipend is for travel to and study/research in a Luso-Hispanic country with a given proposal or goal in mind. The term "study" does not mean that the winner is required to enroll in a course in an institution of higher learning or any sort of school, although that may be the case. Likewise, the term “research” does not mean that the winner will need to conduct research leading to publication although that too may be the case. Other areas being equal, priority will be given to applicants without prior experience traveling or living in a LusoHispanic country. $$$ for SHH Advisors: The John Temple State Director of the Year This award is given to a SHH advisor who is awarded a plaque and an all-expense-paid trip covering travel to the AATSP convention.
