Masters of Science in Management (MSMgt, equivalent to MBA), 1971-1972, I focused on how
current trend in computer-based information systems would affect operations of complex
organizations. In particular, I investigated how the emerging "Electronic Medial Record" would
affect the delivery of health care.
•
Doctoral Studies, 1972-1973, Completed all course work towards a PhD in Health Care Delivery
Information Systems Design. In 1972 I spent a year in the Albany Medical Center Hospital
exploring how the "then new" concept of “local area networking” would affect the management of
patient records and the delivery of medical services. From 1993-1995 as COO at Wellmark, Inc.
Westlake Village, CA, I was able to implement some of the concepts and techniques developed
during my PhD studies as I managed the operation and enhancement of healthcare claims
processing systems integration at 80 hospitals in California and New York.
•
Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE), 1970-1971, Implemented a Computer
Aided Instruction prototype involving the use of artificial intelligence, expert systems and deductive
logic techniques to enhance the user experience and improve training effectiveness.
•
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), 1966-1970, Intern at IBM Poughkeepsie
on the Time Sharing Option (TSO) and advanced operating system debugging/regression testing
tools.
