Your rough draft text looks great! You did a great job with attention
to detail and clarity in your instructions. The script you laid out for
the live tutorial looks very thorough. Also, having a summary section
and a "take this further" section in the conclusion is a great idea.
Below are some suggestions for improvement in the areas of
succinctness, clarity, and scannability.
Succinctness
Considering the length of the "steps" section, we recommend going
through all of the text and looking for anywhere that you can simplify
phrasing, cut out words, or make it more brief. For example, the first
section of the second paragraph of the "purpose" section could be
significantly shortened by changing it to "This is why it is
important.......". See our hard copies for more editing suggestions.
Clarity
We suggest that you double-check the text for consistency. Throughout
the instructions, sometimes elements that you refer to, such as
"resolution" or "custom" are in quotes, sometimes all caps, and
sometimes nothing. Being more consistant in naming key element will
help the reader focus and follow the
instructions.
Scannability
The scannability of the text will of course be determined by how you
present it on the site. As it stands now, it is organized in a logical
manner that makes it easy to go through.
