SEDGWICK COUNTY COMMISSIONER
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
AUGUST 22, 2013
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Bauerle with, Sandquist, Beck and Beckman
present.
Sandquist moved to approve the agenda with the addition of Lori Ehmke joining the
meeting at 9:15 and a report on the Emergency Preparedness meeting. Beck second,
carried.
Mark Turner, Civil Defense, joined the meeting. Bauerle reported on the Emergency
Preparedness meeting. Nebraska will be included in the Sedgwick County plan and will
be included in future meetings. Bauerle reported that the county RETAC representatives
have not been active and the Board will look into this matter. Bauerle expressed
concerns about the media involvement in the case of an emergency. Turner responded
that he is in the process of re-writing the emergency operation plan for Sedgwick County.
Beck moved to approve the subdivision exemption for Tricia K. Lockhart for property
located at 5-11-45. Sandquist second, carried.
Lori Ehmke, Deputy Assessor, joined the meeting. Ehmke told the Board that there is a
meeting September 11th and both Ehmke and Trennepohl will be attending and asked for
permission for the Assessor’s office to watch the office in their absence. The Board gave
permission. Ehmke left the meeting.
Greg Etl, DOLA, joined the meeting. Discussion was held on the bids for the
communications center. Etl will turn the proposal in for approval. Etl and Turner left the
meeting.
