Point Loma Nazarene University Curriculum Development Syllabus Instructors Bakersfield Bill and Carol Hatcher Ph:(661)399-2198, cahatcher4@yahoo.com Lori Hatcher-Crawford Ph:(661)393-6026, crawdadsfour@aol.com Ridgecrest Stacey Stoner Ph:(760)608-1025, sbstoner@hotmail.com Course Requirements for non-degree graduate professional development courses (X927 ED /X928 ED) and graduate degree courses (GED 691 Q & R) Additional requirements for GED 691 Q & R at the end of syllabus In order to receive credit (three graduate level semester units) for each of the above courses, participants must: Complete all necessary registration forms and pay applicable fees Attend five (4 hour) class sessions Submit a written statement of their objectives for the class during the first class session Submit a written log of thirty-five additional lab hours outside of class sessions Orally present their final project to the instructor demonstrating how the implementation of this curriculum will address appropriate standards (i.e. California Content Standards, Common Core Standards, California Standards for the Teaching Profession, national or local standards) insure and assess student learning Evaluation and Grading All students completing the above mentioned course requirements will be given a letter grade and the following components will be considered: Instructors will review submitted written objectives and confer individually as needed for clarification Instructors will monitor student work and progress during class sessions Instructors will review written log of outside lab hours submitted at the end of the course (not later than June 28, 2013). Instructor will evaluate the student’s oral presentation of final project as they show and explain their completed work at the final check-out session and provide verbal feedback Note: Upon completion of all above mentioned course requirements instructors will issue a letter grade which will appear on the student transcript to follow.
