INTRODUCTION:
A science laboratory would not be complete without tools. In this lab, many tools will be identified
and handled. You will discover their uses and safety precautions to be followed during laboratory
procedures.
PURPOSE:
The purposes of this lab are to identify and learn the functions of pieces of laboratory equipment
likely to be found in a biology laboratory.
MATERIALS:
Assorted
Paper
Pencil
Equipment
PROCEDURE:
1. Review the attached list of equipment and their functions
2. Carefully inspect the different types of laboratory equipment set out around the room
3. Match a function and name from the attached list to each piece of equipment
4. Sketch each piece of equipment and record the corresponding letter
