Please read this application and the agreements and terms and conditions referenced in this
application carefully. By submitting this application, you agree that (a) the information contained
in this application is accurate and complete; (b) you are authorized to submit this application on
behalf of the organization listed in Section 1 below and to bind such organization to the terms
and conditions set forth in this application and in the agreements and terms and conditions
referenced in this application; and (c) if your organization is accepted into any of the Sun
Academic Initiative Programs, its participation in such Sun Academic Initiative Programs will be
subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this application and in the agreements and terms
and conditions referenced in this application.
Sun Microsystems, Inc. respects your desire for privacy. Personal information collected from this form will
not be shared with organizations external to Sun without your consent, except to process data on Sun's
behalf in connection with this transaction and except as expressly authorized by you in this application.
We will use your personal information for communications regarding the Sun Academic Program
Application and your participation in the Sun Academic Initiative Programs. Data will be stored in the
United States of America.
Sun, as a global company, may transfer your personal information to countries which may not provide an
adequate level of protection. Sun, however, is committed to providing a suitable & consistent level of
protection for your personal information regardless of the country in which it resides.

participate in the Sun Learning Center - Online StarOffice/StarSuite Sun Academic Initiative Program.

an education institution whether public or private (including elementary schools, middle schools,
high schools and graduate schools);
an association, consortium or organization which acts on behalf of member nonprofit or public
educational institutions;
a teaching hospital affiliated with a teaching institution;
a private or public library system;
a private or public museum;
any department of education, ministry of education, local school board or district, or similar
governmental educational agency; or
a research institution.

Please indicate below which Sun Academic Initiative Program(s) your organization is applying to

Sun Learning Center - Online StarOffice/StarSuite Program:（免费申请参加）

Your organization will be provided a qualifying user code, which it may distribute to its eligible
users. Eligible users are enrolled students, researchers, consultants, contract staff and
employees of the organization who are not listed on any United States export exclusion lists
and who are located in certain countries. Your organization must take all reasonable steps to
prevent disclosure of its qualifying user code to anyone other than eligible users.

Each eligible user may then (1) use the qualifying user code to login to the Sun Learning
Center where he/she will be provided a list of certain Sun StarOffice/StarSuite web-based
courses available for access at no cost, and (2) register for one or more of such courses.

The eligible user will then be sent a registration confirmation which includes the URL for
accessing the course(s). Please note that eligible users will only be able to access the course
content for the specified Sun StarOffice/StarSuite web-based courses and will not be able to
access all of the functionality of the Sun Learning Center such as reporting and tracking
features.

Use of the Sun Learning Center by eligible users will be subject to Sun's standard terms,
conditions and requirements for accessing the Sun Learning Center, including without
limitation, certain system and browser requirements and acceptance of the standard Sun
clickwrap agreement for courses prior to being provided access to any course.

Eligible users have 90 days to complete the course. However, provided that a user continues
to be an eligible user after the expiration of such 90-day period, he/she may reregister for any
courses previously accessed but not completed.
Sun Learning Center - Online Expanded Program: （免费申请参加）
The Sun Learning Center - Online Expanded Program is the same as the Sun Learning Center - Online
StarOffice/StarSuite Program described above except eligible users will also be allowed to access
certain Sun web-based courses in other subjects at no cost. Eligible users will be provided a list of
available courses when they login to the Sun Learning Center with their organizations' qualifying user
codes.

Instructor Led Training ("ILT") Program:有教师指导的教学计划
The Sun Academic Initiative ILT Program allows organizations to provide certain Sun instructor led
training courses using their own instructors and Sun's student manuals as long as certain requirements
are met. A more detailed description is provided in the legal documents your organization will be
required to sign in order to participate in the ILT Program. If your organization will be participating in the
ILT Program, it must also participate in the Direct Purchase Program in order to purchase Sun's
student kits directly from a Sun fulfillment vendor.

Discounted Certification Test Vouchers:认证打折计划
Your organization may purchase discounted certification test vouchers for Sun certification tests for its
eligible users to use Sun designated testing centers. Sun may directly provide your organization the
discounted certification test vouchers or may require you to obtain them from a designated third party
service provider or reseller. If Sun requires you to obtain them from a Sun designated third party
service provider or reseller:


(1) Sun may provide your organization's name to Sun's service provider or reseller in order to
authorize you to receive discounted certification test vouchers; and (2) that Sun's service
provider or reseller may contact you about your participation in this program.

Sun's service provider or reseller may reject or terminate your participation in this program for
any reason and may require your organization to submit an acceptable credit application,
agree to the fulfillment vendors' terms and conditions, and pay administrative fees and
shipping and handling in order to participate in this program.

Sun will not be liable or responsible in any way or for any reason in connection with your
application to and account with Sun's service providers or resellers or your purchase of Sun
certification test vouchers from such service providers or resellers.

Sun will provide you with its third party service provider or reseller's contact and other
information.

Direct Purchase Program 直接付费购买计划

Your organization directly purchases Sun student kits, CD-ROM based training courses and
any other Sun printed materials for the Sun Academic Initiative Programs from a Sun
designated third party fulfillment vendor.

By checking the box to apply for this program and submitting this application, you agree that
(1) Sun may provide your organization's name to its third party fulfillment vendors in order to
authorize you to directly purchase Sun printed materials; and (2) that Sun's fulfillment vendor
may contact you about your participation in this program.

Sun's fulfillment vendor may reject or terminate your participation in this program for any
reason and may require your organization to submit an acceptable credit application, agree to
the fulfillment vendors' terms and conditions, and pay administrative fees and shipping and
handling in order to participate in this program.

Sun will not be liable or responsible in any way or for any reason in connection with your
application to and account with Sun's fulfillment vendors or your direct purchase of Sun
printed materials from its fulfillment vendors.

Sun will provide you with its fulfillment vendor's contact and other information upon your

if Sun is unable to verify the existence of such valid, existing agreement, this application will be
rejected.

site, you must agree to Sun's General Terms and Conditions and Purchasing Exhibit for the United
States which are posted at: http://www.sun.com/sales/salesterms in order to participate in the Sun
Academic Initiative Programs.
You have read and understand the Sun General Terms and Conditions and Purchasing Exhibit
referenced above. By submitting this application, you agree that such General Terms and Conditions
and Purchasing Exhibit (1) will govern your organization's participation in the Sun Academic Initiative
Programs, and (2) are incorporated by reference in this application.

Additional Documents and Information for Participation in the Instructor Led Training Program
Documents
If your organization is also applying to participate in the Instructor Led Training Program and your
organization meets the program requirements, Sun will send you copies of any additional agreements,
exhibits or other legal documents required for participation in the Instructor Led Training Program. Your
organization must sign and return such documents to Sun and must receive copies of the documents
signed by Sun prior to participating in the Instructor Led Training Program. If your organization would
like to use the Authorized Sun Education Center (ASEC) logo in connection with the Instructor Led
Training Program, your organization will also be required to sign and return the ASEC Logo License
Agreement.
Term and Termination
You understand and agree that Sun may terminate your organization's participation in all or any portion
of the Sun Academic Initiative Programs without cause immediately upon notice to one of the contacts
listed in Section 3 of this application. You further agree that Sun will not be liable for any damages
arising out of the termination of your organization's participation in the Sun Academic Initiative
Program.

You understand that the information in this application will be used, in part, to determine your
organization's qualifications as a participant in the Sun Academic Initiative Programs. You understand
that while this information is an integral part of the selection process, submission of this application
does not automatically qualify your organization as a participant in any of the Sun Academic Initiative
Programs. Your organization is not authorized to participate in any of the Sun Academic Initiative
Programs until it receives written acceptance into such Sun Academic Initiative Program(s) from Sun.
