DECO3001 Project 1 Final Design Report Due Thursday 10 June This report presents your final design for Project 1. The report should have the following sections: Title page (5): This page gives the title of your project providing a name that distinguishes your project from others. Also include on this page your name, the unit of study, the date, and a graphic or image that further identifies your project. Topic (5): start your report with an elaboration on the title that further describes what your project is about. This should be no more than a paragraph. The writing should be concise and clear. Sentences should be simple and use an active voice (no past tense). Objectives (10): you should have clear objectives for your project, what you are trying to achieve, the purpose of the web site, any special issues that you want to address. You should list only 3-5 objectives. Precedents/inspirations (10): show any model web sites that are relevant to your preliminary design development that influenced you. For inspiration, show any images, words, news articles, or anything that you came across that inspired you. This section should be visual with short text descriptions. Only select the ones that were most important to you. Limit this to 2-4 precedents/inspirations. Design (60): This section should show your final design in two parts: the design of the user experience and the design of the information in the databases. User experience: show how you have designed the web pages to convey a type of experience, and how you integrated the 3D world to enhance the experience. Describe how the two interfaces are related or interact. Describe the user experience in terms of the interactivity in the 3D and web windows. In this section, tell me the teleport coordinates for going to the entrance of your design. Backend design: describe how you have organized the back end of your project into database records, how the data is dynamically retrieved to layout the web pages. Evaluation (10): Evaluate your design against the objectives.
