Vocational development theory and practice as well as guidance information in the area of
educational and occupational resources
Performance Outcomes:
Students will apply career development theory to professional practice and interests through
both written assignments and class discussions
Students will demonstrate a thorough understanding of recent research and theories into
career guidance and career development.
Directions to Student:
Research a career development program or service intended for a K-12 population. Write a
5-7 page paper detailing that program or service. The paper apply vocational theory to
practice and identity key elements, staffing, institutional context, theoretical foundations,
assessment processes of the program described using APA format.
