CORPORATION PLANNING CAPSULEER PREPARATORY UNIVERSITY (CA.PR.U.) 1. Selected Name Since the 10th of December 2012 the corporation of: Capsuleer Preparatory University (Ca.Pr.U.) has gone active. 2. Introduction The corporation was created to support the new and returning players of EVE Online in the harsh environment of New Eden until they have accomplished their educational challenges and feel comfortable to either create their own saga in the sandbox environment of the game or choose to remain with us and support our cause. In a helpful and supportive environment we will cover your questions about the game. Our approach is not a strict one, but in the form of advice, practice and challenges. The areas we cover are PVE (Player Versus Environment) and PVP (Player Versus Player) both as individual areas of interest for those who have made up their minds and as a whole for those who want something different every now and then. 3. The Stages The educational prowess is indicated through a ranked classification system that is designed around each individual area of expertise, yet it will be tailored to your needs and game play. To progress through the classes you have to meet certain requirements and at the end of each class beat certain challenges. The Stages or Classes are: Leave Corp Rookie → Class 3 → Class 2 → Class 1 → Graduate Remain and Aid Returning Players can jump straight to a certain class depending on their level of experience. 4. Other Corporate Info The corporation is operated during Eastern Europe time. Until our corporation enlists other members from other countries of the world this may cause inconvenience to people from other time zones. If you feel like you can offer to our cause, then take a look at the last page for more info. The places are limited for the time being so we can accept only up to 6 capsuleers at a time. Watch this space as this number will change over time. 5. The rights of our members • Every member will receive a starter pack only once at the beginning, if you re-apply you won’t receive one. • Every member is entitled to our reward system until his/her graduation; some support can be given even after that if and when required. • Every member will have limited access to the corporation hangars; access will increase over time. • Every member can drop out and still receive a degree if they feel what we do is not for them as soon as they reach Class 3, unless they violate the corporation rules, thus expelling them out of the corporation and placing a bounty on their head. 6. Classification Advancement through Prerequisites and Exam Challenges The ranked classification system exists to monitor the progress of a new player within the game. The corporation’s aim is to train pilots in the required areas until they are ready, able to survive and do as they wish for. The advice given is what it sounds to be, advice. It is not forced to anyone but it’s a fast way to progress through the steep learning curve of the game. However, beating the examination challenges and filling each class prerequisites is the only way to advance through them. It must be noted that the exams can be held any day, every day and that the Pilot has 3 attempts per day. If the pilot makes 3 fails as a total the examination challenge moves for another time when the pilot and one of the tutors are available. Returning Capsuleer That’s an old player of EVE starting anew after a leave of absence. (Either old or new main character) Usually he/she has great experience and understanding of the game, yet his/her knowledge may be a bit “rusty” or if he/she made a new character, does not have the skills. After a short session where we show what new has happened during the time of his/her absence, he/she may reach Class 3 to Class 1 depending on experience and character level. Rookie Capsuleer That is what we call a new player or noob in short, he/she has little experience on how to cope in the vast void of New Eden. To progress on Class 3 rank needs to: Be able to do solo at least a Level 1 mission. (Exam challenge) Have the core skills in the certificate planner at STANDARD level. Now in C3 the player emphasises even more on his core skills while he identifies what he likes from the game. To progress on Class 2 rank needs to: Be able to do solo at least a Level 2 mission & Level 3 Fleet (Exam challenge) Have the core skills in the certificate planner at IMPROVED level. (Prerequisite) Select the area he/she is interested in. (Prerequisite) Be able to fly up to a Battle Cruiser class ship. (Prerequisite) ATTENTION: Think carefully of the path you choose ahead, think of what you like so far in the game and go for this, otherwise you will end up changing many occupations and take more time to pass on the next level. If you find yourself struggling to select a specific area go for a more broad occupation that has many other choices such as combat mission runner for example. Class 2 Capsuleer That is an Intermediate level Pilot. The capsuleer has now decided on the path he/she desires (see above) and trains accordingly to achieve the level aimed in that area. His/her survival skills are increased overall. To go on the next level will need to have not only prerequisites but complete role related exam challenges.
