The Bank has a Branch Network of 1730 Branches, 22 Extension Counters and 1251 ATMs all over India. Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Govt. of India today inaugurated Bank’s Corporate Office at Plot No.5,Sector 32, Institutional Area, Gurgaon to coincide with the 70th Foundation Day of the Bank in the presence of Shri Namo Narain Meena, Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance, Govt. of India, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nagesh Pydah, CMD of the Bank, Shri S.C. Sinha & Shri V. Kannan, EDs of the Bank and other dignitaries. With this, Oriental Bank of Commerce becomes the only Public Sector Bank having its Corporate Office in the State of Haryana. On the occasion, Hon’ble Finance Minister also inaugurated an E-Lobby in the same premises. This State of Art unmanned E-Lobby will provide wide ranging 24x7 Banking facilities to its customers on a self-service basis which includes: All ATM Services including Cash Withdrawal, Balance Inquiry, Mini Statement, Pin Change, Funds Transfer, Income Tax Payment, Cheque Status Inquiry, SMS Registration, Stop Payment request, etc. through ATM by the Bank’s own customers as well as other Banks Customers. Deposit of Cheques and Drafts through the Cheque Deposit Machine which provides acknowledgement for deposit and copy of cheque to the customer. Internet Banking Kiosk for undertaking Internet Banking transactions in the E-Lobby. Coin vending machine for dispensing coins to customers. Page 2 of 5 Hon’ble Finance Minister also inaugurated 2 (Two) Ultra Small Branches in Village Badarpur and Village Marora in Mewat District of Haryana through remote as per the recent guidelines of Ministry of Finance where Banks have been advised to open Ultra Small Branches with minimum staff deployment and infrastructural costs. Business Correspondents appointed by the Bank will perform all cash transactions and other routine work throughout the week. However, a Bank Official shall visit the Branch at least once in a week along with a laptop which will have VPN connectivity to the CBS. This will help the Bank to widen its reach towards Financial Inclusion in remote areas. Some Net Banking enhancements were also inaugurated on the occasion which include: Implementation of SSL Extended Validation (EV) 256 bit digital certificate a security enhancement Facility for customers to generate Online password Receiving Tracker ID through EMAIL facility enabled for Jammu and Kashmir based customers only. On the occasion, Shri Pydah, CMD of the Bank informed that Oriental Bank of Commerce is having maximum presence in the states of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. In Haryana, the Bank is having a visible presence in all the 21 (Twenty One) Districts of the State. Bank has operationalised a Mobile Branch for Palwal District. This Mobile Branch is attached to B/O Aurangabad in Palwal District and is providing Banking Services to the residents of 9 (Nine) adjoining villages at their doorsteps. Attractive Deposit/Loan Schemes and Other Products offered by the Bank Bank offers various attractive deposit schemes such as Savings Accounts, Current Accounts, Term Deposits, etc. and loan schemes such as loan for Small and Medium Enterprises, Industries i.e. Large Corporate and Mid Corporate, Crop loans, Priority Sector advances, Housing loans, Education loans, Vehicle loans, etc. which cater to all sections of the society. Bank also offers bouquet of IT Products viz. Net Banking, Mobile Banking, SMS Services, Electronic Remittance facilities through RTGS/NEFT, Income Tax Payment through ATMs, etc. Bank offers various Life Insurance Products of its Joint Venture Company viz. Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Co. Ltd. During this Financial Year, Bank has launched “Oriental Bank Mediclaim Policy” in collaboration with the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. for its customers. Bank has also launched a co-branded Credit Card in the name of “SBI-Oriental Bank of Commerce Credit Card” which is in collaboration with SBI Cards. The card is available in two variants - Platinum and Gold for customers of the Bank. Empowering Rural India To take care of the downtrodden, Bank pioneered a micro credit product namely Oriental Grameen Swarojgar Card for Rural Entrepreneurs and provides finance for micro activities to residents in the villages. Bank has also a Micro Thrift Scheme called Oriental Grameen Jama Yojana for the financially excluded people in rural areas. As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Bank has set up a Trust in the name of ‘OBC Rural Development Trust’ on 09.12.2005 for setting up of Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs). The Trust has set up 5 (Five) Institutes in different states viz.
