Objectives and Career Goals:
To begin my professional career as a journalist, using both my print and online journalism skills. I
hope to gain experience working at The Tacoma Tribune and eventually become a foreign
correspondent.
Qualifications:
I am a reliable and responsible worker with excellent time management and communications skills.
I have worked in multiple newsrooms and have experience working with a team while under
deadline. I am extremely proficient in Word, InDesign, Dreamweaver and html for both Mac and
PC, and am familiar with Photoshop. I also have extensive knowledge of AP Style. I have lived in
Tacoma for the majority of my life, so I am familiar with the city and your publication. I am
organized and work well under pressure.

Design Web pages for academic departments at Western, work with a team, pay close attention to
detail, work on multiple projects simultaneously.
