JOB DESCRIPTION for PRODUCTION LINE ASSEMBLER ___________________________________________________________________ Job title Production Line Assembler Department Assembly Responsible to Assembly Section Leader Hours: Due to the nature of our business, the Company operates seven days a week under a shift work system. You will work under this system as a shift worker. You will be required to work 60 or 76 hours each fortnightly in accordance with a shift pattern. Salary £8.30 PER HOUR BASIC FOR FIRST 3 MONTHS THEN INCLUSION ON THE SKILL MATRIX (POTENTIAL EARNING £12 PER HOUR WHEN TRAININED) Job description: BROMPTON BICYCLE IS A LEADING FOLDING BIKE MANUFACTURER, IN A SECTOR THAT IS GOING THROUGH RAPID GROWTH. BROMPTON HAS HISTORICALLY BEEN UNABLE TO MEET THIS DEMAND AND THIS HAS BEEN FURTHER COMPOUNDED IN RECENT YEARS. YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO UNDERTAKE A VARIETY OF TASKS IN THE ASSEMBLY DEPARTMENT. Job purpose: Production Line Assembler Main duties: Work on the production assembly line Understanding of the mechanics of the product Attention to detail to build correctly and to pick up any faults Physically demanding job as some lifting is required Flexibility to work in other departments as required Additional duties: To attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required.
