DIRECTIONS
First, relax, because this assignment is easy. I just want to find out a little bit about you
and your goals, not just for CIS 275, but also for DSU. In addition, I also need your
contact information so that I can get course information to you.
Having said that, your assignment is to send me an e-mail. I would like you to send it to
both of my DSU addresses to ensure that both are working. They are
tullossb@pluto.dsu.edu and brent.tulloss@dsu.edu, respectively. The following is a list
of the information that I would like you to include:
 In the subject line, put CIS 275 and your section number.
 Your name. Yes, I know that it will show up on your e-mail, but humor me anyway.
 Phone number.
 Your major.
 What is your programming background/experience?
 What would you like to get out of CIS 275 i.e. your goals? Please give me a little
detail if you can. While telling me that you want an “A” is an excellent goal, it’s
tough for me to use that to tailor and/or structure the course.
 If you’re a new student, what would you like to get from DSU? What brought you
here?
 If you’re a returning student, what were you looking for when you came to DSU, and
do you feel that DSU is delivering?
 Anything else like background, hobbies, etc that you feel comfortable sharing. I want
to get to know each of you as individuals because I believe that’s an important part of
creating and developing a team environment for this class.
If for some reason you’re having trouble with your e-mail, send me an e-mail and let me
know. Just kidding. If that happens, write down the information and get it to me by
bringing it to my office or leaving it with the secretary in the College of Business and
Information Systems office in East Hall. This probably goes without saying, but also get
the problem fixed as soon as possible, because you will need e-mail to successfully
complete this course.
DUE DATE
This assignment is due as soon as possible (ASAP). I want the information no later than
Friday, 7 September at 5:00PM.
