Sometimes they are a source of negative information that only confuses and creates unhealthy habits in the whole population but one of the groups most at risk are adolescents. Many people ignore the fact that massive media is constantly bombarding people with stereotyped based advertisement, that can easily change the perception of a developing human being such as teenagers. Media most of the time doesn’t reflect what being young is, it rather dictates a role and certain rules meant to make teens fit in on certain standards. This can sometimes originate severe problems and tough consequences. The Office of Adolescent Health was funded in 2010 and since then its goal is working to be a helping hand for teenagers by providing the necessary tools and information on different up to date topics in order to increase consciousness and discernment of safety and health orientation. It also promotes material for parents, broad public and distinct society types that assist juvenescence. The organization gives as credible, clear and concise messages that connect with people and have a communication value. The Office of Adolescent Health presently guides teenagers in five health fields: reproductive health, mental health, physical health, substance abuse, and relationships providing suggestions from distinct government departments. They approach teens by conferences, events and social networks for example there are diverse twitter chats and a YouTube channel. News in adolescent health, press releases and webinars of variant themes are available. It also indulges advice in physical health and nutrition, where it points out data about chronic conditions, access to physical Health Services and healthy behavior in the interest of avoiding and preventing harmful diseases like anorexia and bulimia, which are very common nowadays. Present National statistics of physical health in the United States can be found too. A calendar of upcoming events is displayed on the website giving a fast list of ceremonies and talks to experience .The Office of Adolescent Health has had initiatives like the pregnancy assistance fund, teen pregnancy prevention program and the national resource center for HIV-AIDS prevention among adolescents which have led to great results shown in evaluation studies that are conferred in this site. Evidence-Based programs as well as their implementation with sustainability Resources and publications in the website offer the ability to look through books on the adolescent health library, as well as e-updates which highlight interesting common topics and national and state facts to get a better perspective of how teens think on a statistical level. The link Talking with Teens is designed to give parents and other caring adults abilities and essential ways to start and keep a connection with teenagers about sexuality, health and relationships.
