LIFE FOR AFRICA AFFILIATIONS Life for Africa, Incorporated (LFA) is currently focusing on implementing its operational structures to build a solid foundation for the organization, as well as developing strategic partnerships and addressing local critical issues through partners. To carry out the mission, Life for Africa is seeking to partner with organizations and individuals that can provide assistance with finance, technical equipment and expertise and other resources. In June 2002, LFA launched its first activity to help Africa through medical donations. LFA Board of Directors Chairman, His Royal Majesty, King Adamtey I, (Dr. Kingsley Fletcher) and Dr. Ellawese Smith, Board Member, presented medications to the Ministry of Health in Ghana, West Africa to help local medical hospitals and clinics. Press conferences with the Minister of Health and Minister of Education we held to promulgate LFA goals and objectives to help Ghana in Healthcare and Education. LFA continues to facilitate donations of medicines, medical equipment and supplies to underserved hospitals and clinics through the Ministry of Health in Ghana and Se (Shai) State. Additionally, LFA partnered with the employees of North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company to give school supplies and a computer to the Se (Shai) International School, Kordiable, Ghana. In February 2003, LFA partnered with Heart of the Father/Operation Christmas Child to facilitate the distribution of shoebox gifts to the School children of the Se (Shai) Public School. Also in 2003, His Royal Majesty, King Adamtey I (Dr. Kingsley Fletcher) and others presented to Tema General Hospital medical supplies and incubators from Life for Africa. In 2004, ambulances and pharmaceutics were donated by Life for Africa and Kingsley Fletcher Ministries in partnership with Operation Blessing International were presented to the Ministry of Health in Ghana. Donations received in 2006 for bed linens, pillows, plastic gloves and other medical supplies were donated to the Deputy Director of Nursing at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana. Presentation was made in January 2007.
