HARRIS COMPUTER SYSTEMS ACQUIRES ACE SOFTWARE
OTTAWA, ON - April 3rd, 2006 - Harris Computer Systems ("Harris"), a leading provider of software
solutions for local governments, utilities and school districts is pleased to announce the purchase of all the
assets related to the Student Information System (SIS) and Financial Management software of ACE
Software, LLC and ACE Charter Services ("ACE"). ACE is a leading provider of SIS and financial
management applications to K-12 school districts and educational institutions within the State of Ohio and
surrounding states.
Harris President and CEO Jeff Bender stated, "We are very pleased with the growth opportunities in the K12 SIS vertical. Ace provides Harris with a solid customer base, great employee group, and a product suite
that both compliments and expands our existing portfolio. Furthermore, Harris is very excited about
expanding the Ace Charter Services business."

Harris is committed to the continued support and service of the ACE flagship products ADM-2000 Student
Information and Financial. Equally important, Harris will continue to support all ACE add-on products for adhoc query and reporting, web based data access, textbook management, and warehouse management.
"ACE solidifies our product footprint in both the student information and educational financial management
segment and provides breadth in scheduling, grade management, and textbook management. We are very
excited about the opportunities ACE represents to our current School District customer base through add-on
product introduction and leveraging the domain expertise to enhance our current offerings," explained Harris
Vice President responsible for K-12 solutions within Harris, Bryce Cooper.
Furthermore, Harris is fully committed to continue to support and grow ACE Charter Services. Cooper
explained, "The Charter Services operation provides significant potential in a segment of the market that
continues to demonstrate sustained growth. ACE provides us with an excellent operational platform that we
can marry with our compliant products for other jurisdictions to immediately expand Charter Services. "
ACE will continue operations from their existing offices in Columbus, Ohio, and will be integrated with the
Tenex business unit of Harris, focusing on continuing its customer service excellence for School Districts
and Charter Schools.
