GEOG101 People and Their Environment MAP QUIZ 1 Back to MP home page Back to Geography 101home page ABOUT MAP QUIZZES You are responsible for knowing how to locate all geographic objects listed below on the blank maps handed out in class for practicing. The same blank maps will be given during the map quiz, so you will be well familiar with the maps. The map quiz will include only 20-25 place names selected randomly from the list. You will be asked to indicate the location of a geographic object by putting a number or a letter on its location. The number has to be placed directly on the object or within its boundaries (a river, a city, a lake, an ocean and so on). Or, you might be asked to provide a name of a geographic object shown on the blank map by a number or a letter. Most place names listed below can be easily found in your Atlas on either the world geographic map or the corresponding continent maps. You should be able to locate most of these geographic objects by simply examining the maps. If you cannot find them, please see course syllabus (section Using Atlas and Map Quiz) for instructions on how to use the index at the end of your Atlas. No atlas is allowed during the quiz.
