GEOG101 People and Their Environment PLACE NAMES FOR MAP QUIZ 1 – World general Back to MP home page Back to Geography 101home page You should know how to locate all geographic objects listed below on the blank maps handed out in class. The same blank maps will be used during the map quiz. For the quiz, I will randomly select from the list 510 place names. You should indicate a geographic object by putting a number or a letter on its location. They should be placed directly on the object or within its boundaries (a river, a city, a lake, an ocean and so on). Or, you might be asked to name a geographic object shown on a blank map by a number or a letter. You can find the place names in your Atlas on either the world geographic map or the corresponding continent maps. Either examine the maps visually or see course syllabus (section Using Atlas and Map Quiz) for instructions on how to use the index at the end of your Atlas. No atlas is allowed during the quiz.
