APPLICATION FEES FOR
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
(FULL-TIME STUDY)
RM 2250 (approx USD 750)* is payable when you have accepted the offer. This fees include RM 1830 (USD 610)
charged to ALL International students by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) as Processing Fees, Student
Visa, Medical Check-up & Insurance Premium (Silver Package). In addition, the above payment also includes APU
Application & Processing fees of RM 420 (USD 140) which also entitles you to complimentary airport assistance
and transfer to the University upon first arrival in Malaysia.
MISCELLANEOUS FEES
(Payable upon registration)
International Student Registration
A fee of RM 2,850 (approx USD 950)* is payable as registration & administrative fee for International Students.
Student ID Card
A fee of RM 30 (approx USD 10)* is required for the Student ID Card per course level.
Library Facilities
The following is payable for the use of library facilities:
• Library Deposit (refundable): RM 400 (approx USD 135)*.
• Library Fees: RM 300 (approx USD 100)* per year.
Engineering Laboratory Facilities
(only for Engineering students)
The following is payable for use of the Engineering Laboratory:
• Laboratory Deposit (refundable): RM 500 (approx USD 170)*
Personal Bond
A Personal Bond of RM 1,000 (approx USD 335)* is payable, which will be refunded on completion of studies.

Fee Payments
• All international students are required to pay all fees before arrival.
• A late payment charge will be imposed on any overdue fees.
• Semester payment is due upon commencement of each semester.
• Your payment option cannot be changed after registration.
• Payment of fees by Bank draft is payable to ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY SDN BHD, or telegraphic transfer as below:

Fee Payment
Fees to Staffordshire University are payable upon commencement of each Level of Study (1st week). The bank
drafts will be collected by APU.
Refund & Fees Policy
The Application, Administration & Registration fees for International students will not be refunded. Course fee
payments made are NOT REFUNDABLE except if the student visa is refused by EMGS. The Fees will NOT BE
REFUNDED after the student has obtained a Visa to study in Malaysia, or after the student has commenced
studies at any level, including Intensive English, Diploma or Foundation Programme.
An Administrative fee of RM 200 will be deducted for any transfer of registration prior to course commencement,
including changes in course specialisation.
Annual Student Visa renewal inclusive of Medical Check-up & Insurance Premium (Silver Package) costs between
RM 900 (approx. USD 300)* to RM 1200 (approx USD 400)* depending on your country of origin and is payable 2
months before expiry of the student visa and upon submission of the student’s application for extension with EMGS.
