MIPCOM 2014 A Real Buzz .‐ After The Wit reported the successful story of Spanish
Fiction content last April during MIP TV., buyers are looking forward to the new Spanish
content more than ever before. The recent buzz surrounding Spanish content is
particularly strong for Fiction but has spread an interest to other genres too and Mipcom
will be this year a key market for the companies to showcase their work and portfolios.

Tony Albert, Motion Pictures CEO shows a very positive feeling for Mipcom “We are
really thrilled to attend this MIPCOM to present the first 13 episodes of Pumpkin
Reports. After so many expectations in the market we find ourselves in the position to
see them fulfilled. We are really proud of both the visual style and the comedy in the

There is already talk of Spain being a source for great content with international appeal:
one of the most recent talked about shows internationally is the Boomerang TV series
“Mum Detective” also known as “The Mysteries of Laura”, running on TVE in Spain during
prime time for several seasons, the ready-made series has sold in over 20 territories and
remakes have been done in the USA - NBC with Debra Messing - Benelux, Italy and Russia.
The international wealth of Spanish content is not focus only on fiction as proven by
companies with some other real success stories behind; Phileas Productions having
secured big numbers recently for "Dontsayit,Bringit!" is one of them. The local version
was released at Prime Time on Channel V from Canada on Tuesday, September 9 with very
good results.
