EXPERIENCE Tampa‐Hillsborough County Public Libraries, Tampa, FL Manager of Library Technology & Collections April, 2014 – Present Leadership of the library’s collection management process and oversight for the library’s $5 Million materials budget. Management of the library’s key business processes for acquiring and paying for print, media and digital materials; guiding the library successfully through a 2014 Clerk of the Circuit Court audit of library procurement operations. Managing the library’s relationship with publishers and vendors including contract negotiations, monitoring and evaluating vendor performance and compliance. Provide direction for the Polaris Integrated Library System/catalog and the library’s high traffic web presence, currently having over 4.1 million visits annually. Manage the integration and customer access for digital content – eBooks, databases and other streaming and downloadable media – into the Website and Online Library, now 38% of the total 10.6 million circulation. Participate in the development and implementation of the library’s annual budget, Business Plan, Long Range Plan, Technology Plan and master planning for the main library. Represents the library during intellectual freedom challenges to library materials. Liaison with Hillsborough County ITS to coordinate library’s computer hardware, software and network connectivity.
