Grant was a guest lecturer one day, and he was great! His lecture was really engaging and his enthusiasm was really encouraging. I also found his feedback on papers to be helpful. 2. I felt that Grant was the most approachable and helpful TA. He reached out to students to let them know that he was available to help, and provided really great feedback on papers. I really enjoyed his discussion sessions and felt comfortable asking him for and thoughts and advice on the course assignments and on the topic of human rights in general. 3. Grant only got to teach us one class, but I actually thought his lecture was much better than Professor Nathan's typically are. He was really organized, and stopped a few times during the lecture to make sure everyone was clear on the material he covered and that he had answered all questions. Also, he made it really interesting. Grant also graded one of my papers (each TA graded one assignment) and I thought he did a really good job of telling me what I did well and what I could use work on. Overall, I thought Grant was a really great TA. Two thumbs up. 4. Grant was responsive when I requested to meet, and the most helpful and proactive in review sessions. I had difficulty communicating and getting responses from other TAs, and I found their sections to be wasteful of my time. 5. Grant was a wonderful TA! His enthusiasm was contagious, and he was able to clarify course material while also bringing it to life in a way that a lecture simply cannot. He was always willing to offer advice about the assignments, raised interesting questions, and made sure that we were engaged in the discussion. https://courseworks.columbia.edu/cms/cu_adm/course.cfm (2 of 3) [1/17/2012 4:12:33 PM] Columbia University Courseworks 6. Sometimes he rushed through material but he was usually very clear and open to questions. 7. Amazing TA, extremely energetic and gets his points across clearly. 8. Grant is so enthusiastic and dedicated to helping and inspiring students. https://courseworks.columbia.edu/cms/cu_adm/course.cfm (3 of 3) [1/17/2012 4:12:33 PM]
