Blessed are they who know my ears today must strain to catch the things they say. Blessed are they who seem to know my eyes are dim and my mind slow. Blessed are they who looked away when tea spilled on the cloth today. Blessed are they with a cheery smile who stopped to chat for a little while. Blessed are they who never say you’ve told that story twice today. Blessed are they who make it know that I am loved, respected and not alone. And Blessed are they who ease the days of my journey home, in loving ways. Dr Bruce Woolard Rev Andrew Lamont-Turner Rev Warren Watermeyer Rev Kenneth Claassen Author unknown. HOW FAR IS EAST FROM THE WEST? In Psalm 103:12 we are told that as far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Whereas you can measure North from South because of the two poles, if you put a stake into the ground before you and move West around the earth you would come back to your stake with the East still behind you and West before you. The distance is immeasurable! That’s how far God has taken our sins away from us because of the blood of Jesus. 3 The Ministers & Diaconate wish you and your family a Blessed New Year. With God all things are possible. NOTES Sermon outline: Cnr Verbena & Cassia Drive Sunridge Park, Port Elizabeth. 041 3601127 stdavids@telkomsa.net www.stdavids.org.za 4
