For the past 15 years he has taught in Executive Education, MBA and PhD programmes on Strategy, Competitiveness, and Game Theory. Casadesus-Masanell has delivered programmes on strategy globally and consulted to the most reputable multinational companies. He has published several book chapters, case studies, and articles in the most reputable journals such as Harvard Business Review, Management Science, and Strategic Management Journal, among others. Dr Marko Saravanja Marko is an entrepreneur, an academic and a former development worker and monk. Marko obtained his PhD in Performance Management. Marko was a finalist of Ernst Young World Entrepreneurship Awards in 2009 and serves on the Advisory Board of First National Bank in South Africa. Marko has delivered inspirational talks internationally for large corporates and governments. His programmes have inspired, changed lives, and energised thousands of people from across the world. Marko has written the book Secrets of Success. Croatian born, Marko has lived a life of extremes; taken roads less travelled, continuously pushed his boundaries of comfort, taken risks and explored the unknown. As a former yoga and mediation monk, he lived an ascetic life for seven years, helping poverty stricken communities to access education, health and employment opportunities. Marko has climbed Kilimanjaro, scuba dived, parachuted, and travelled to 60 countries by the age of 48. His additional interests include investments, stock market trading and helicopter flying. Kuseni Dlamini is the Chairman of Times Media Group Ltd (formerly Avusa), a leading media and entertainment company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual South Africa and Emerging Markets. Prior to this he was the Head of Anglo American South Africa and a member of the Executive Committee of Anglo American plc in London and was Director of Anglo Platinum Ltd. He is also the former Executive Chairman of Richards Bay Coal Terminal Company Ltd and a former Chairman of Anglo Operations (Pty) Ltd. As part of his career in mining he held a number of senior positions at Anglo Gold Ashanti and De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Kuseni is a graduate of the Universities of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, and Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar. In March 2008, he was named a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum and, during the same month, Miningx selected him as one of the top 100 most influential people in South African mining. In June 2008, the Mail & Guardian named him as one of the top 200 young people worth taking to lunch and in the same year and month, The Economist referred to him as “A Rare Commodity’. In 2010, the World Economic Forum appointed him a member of the Global Agenda Council on Economic Growth and Poverty Alleviation. In 2011, he was appointed Co-Chairman of the annual World Economic Forum Africa Summit which brings together Heads of States, leading politicians and business leaders to debate the state of Africa in a changing world on an annual basis. Kuseni is active in professional bodies and charities which include the South African Institute of International Affairs, Common Purpose and the Advisory Board of Wits Business School. Speakers Nic Frangos Nic Frangos is a highly successful entrepreneur and businessperson. He started his career at Unilever and became the youngest senior manager in Unilever worldwide. Nic was then appointed as the Managing Director of Business Equipment Corporation before expressing his entrepreneurial spirit by establishing Mercedes Information Technologies (M.I.T). M.I.T was the second largest IT Group in SA comprising four public companies and led the market in networking, outsourcing, software and systems. Nic founded Frankin a private equity investment firm and the controlling shareholder of Corpgro Ltd, Dunlop Africa Ltd, Smarthold (Pty) Ltd and Stallion Security. He is also the founder of Legends Inc and Global Equities.
