Courses must be applied toward the high school diploma and baccalaureate degree. Dual Enrollment courses are college-level courses, and as such, may include content for more mature students. Courses and grades are a part of a permanent college record. The University reserves the right to limit the dual enrollment program based on space availability and to refuse admission to students with disciplinary infractions. High school counselors are responsible for identifying students who demonstrate social maturity and motivation and who possess the academic capabilities to pursue college-level instruction. To qualify for application, the student must meet standard test score requirements, a minimum of a 3.0 un-weighted high school GPA AND a minimum of a 3.7 weighted high school GPA. Students admitted to the Accelerated Collegiate Experience (ACE) must achieve an FGCU 2.5 term GPA and maintain an FGCU 2.5 cumulative GPA to remain eligible for the program. A course may not be repeated while in the ACE program and students may not withdraw from a course without extenuating circumstances approved by the designees outlined in the respective dual enrollment articulated agreement.
