Advanced Logic Trainer CK341 Description The CK341 is versatile and easy to use equipment for the rapid construction of digital circuits using integrated devices. It also provides facilities for digital, analogue and hybrid circuits to be quickly assembled. Its low cost, yet rugged construction makes it an ideal teaching system. The trainer consists of an unpowered A4 size construction deck, and a similar sized component tray which contains the INTIBIT IC modules and connecting leads. The construction deck contains a patch board, comprising an array of 2 mm sockets, allowing the insertion of IC modules and leads; up to 18 - 14 pin devices, or a lesser number of 16 or 24 pin devices, may be plugged into the deck at one time. Polarity pins in the base of the modules ensure that the devices are always correctly connected to the power rails. Interconnections between the various devices are made using stackable 2 mm plugs. Transfer sockets are provided on the deck to allow external equipment to be connected using 4 mm sockets. In order to allow logic circuits to be constructed and their functions tested, the construction deck features 8 binary input switches, 8 LEDS with drivers, a binary to hexadecimal decoder and display. Single shot and variable speed clocks are also provided. To enable hybrid digital circuits to be considered, the basic CK341 can be extended to include the study of operational amplifiers, digital to analogue conversion, analogue to digital conversion and other common circuits by the use of additional INTIBIT modules. However, hybrid circuits are not discussed in the manual supplied and digital circuits only are described in the 13 assignments. The basic trainer operates from a ±5 V supply; Feedback 01-110 is recommended. Some of the additional modules require a ±15 V supply, in which case Feedback 01-100 is recommended. The CK341 trainer is similar in style to most of the equipment in Feedback’s Digital Systems and Computing range, and, like them can be housed in Systems Storage Rack SSR1000.
