Alexis M. Butler | Associate
Alexis was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She later went on to
attend The University of Texas in her hometown, where she
graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
and a minor in Business. After graduating from UT, Alexis worked
for a marketing company in London, England.

Alexis earned her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law
in Lubbock, Texas in May of 2011. While Alexis enjoyed calling
West Texas home for three years, she also appreciated a summer
studying consumer law in Beijing, China at Renmin University, as
well as an internship with United States District Judge Robert
Junell in Midland, Texas. During Alexis's tenure at Texas Tech,
she competed in the National Entertainment Law Moot Court
Competition in Malibu, California, the Duberstein National
Bankruptcy Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana and New York
City, and the American Bar Association Competition in Seattle,
Washington and Chicago, Illinois. Then, in 2011, Alexis’s team
placed first out of 179 teams at the National Moot Court
Competition, the oldest and most prestigious competition of its kind
in the country. It was there that Alexis was named the National
Best Oral Advocate. Alexis additionally served on the Texas Tech
Administrative Law Journal, where she was published for her
article discussing appellate procedures within state administrative
agencies.
Alexis spends her free time reading, cooking, traveling, and
watching Texas Longhorn football.
