Chapter 1
Alexis tried to untie her hands from behind her back. She couldn’t do it. She did not want to get
caught. The Daleks might see her. She tried again. Her sonic screwdriver nearly fell out of her pocket.
“Almost there…” she whispered to herself.
Crash! Her glasses fell out of her pocket onto the floor.
“Seriously!” Alexis mumbled to herself.
A Dalek turned around.
“Did the Time Lord say something?!?” the Dalek questioned in his robot voice.
“Err… No?” Alexis said.
“WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?!?” the Dalek said, now obviously annoyed.
“Uh… Nothing! I’ve got absolutely nothing to hide!” Alexis replied, smiling.
The Dalek backed away. It was still staring right at her. She managed to pull out one of her hands and
she kept it behind her back. The Dalek turned around and went away. Alexis put her hand into her
pocket. She felt for the little blue button on the side of what she liked to call her space hopper. It was
for emergences only.
Aha! She thought.
She found the button.
“Good-bye!” Alexis said.
Zap! Alexis pushed the button and disappeared.
------Alexis was now inside the TARDIS. She got up and looked around. She walked to the side and pushed
onto the wall. She had a secret room for her things. She walked in and sat on her bed. She looked
around and she spotted a picture frame. She picked it up. There was a picture of Alexis when she was
a little girl. She was on Gallifrey in the front of her house. She was just 90 years old when she took
that picture. Her eyes started to water. Her home, her family, her people her planet. Gone. Forever
burned.
The glass on the picture frame popped up a little. She opened up the back. There was another picture
hidden behind the other one. She looked at it. Her eyes started to water. A tear rolled of her cheek.
Then another, and another.
“Doctor,” She whispered.
“Doctor,” she said, this time louder.
“DOCTOR!!!” she sobbed.
She wiped the tears from her eyes and placed the picture back in the frame. She lay on her bed.
“My older brother is DEAD!!!!!!” she started to cry again.
The Doctor had died in the Time War. He was separated from her and everyone died. But Alexis
escaped.
Alexis cried for hours and finally fell asleep.
