A bi-directional wbe based people counter set. The principle is based on the interruption of a horizontal infrared beam.
The transmitter transmits the infrared beam to the receiver. When this infrared beam is
interrupted, eg by a person, the receiver detects this and will increase the internal
counter.
The receiver is direction sensitive, which means that counts in both directions are
stored separately. Count values are available within one minute. Distortion or a blocked counter is also reported. Because of the innovative use of electronics, the counter
can run for approximately 2 years on one set of batteries, without compromising the
counting distance.
The sensor data will find its way to the server through the gateway.
