Department Overview: The Human Resources department is responsible for developing and implementing,
policies and programs for recruitment, employee onboarding and orientation, employee relations, performance
management, training and development, and employee benefit management and administration. The department
fosters a culture that supports and furthers the Boston Foundation’s mission, vision and values.
Job Description: The intern will be responsible for providing overall administrative support to the Human
Resources department, including: maintaining Human Resources files; scheduling interviews with managers
and job applicants; greeting job applicants and ensuring adherence to interview schedules; preparing packages
for new hires, terminations and leaves of absence; producing meeting materials; participating in scheduling,
planning and execution of employee events; managing HR resources on the Foundation’s Intranet; and
providing coverage at the reception desk, as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
 Demonstrated good interpersonal/communication skills, both written & verbal
 Ability to handle confidential information
 Good computer/technical skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
 Demonstrated punctuality & organization
 Proven good analytical skills and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
 Human Resources experience a plus
