the changes you’ll see in your products and services.
You’ll have more places to bank — 430 locations and an ATM
network stretching across the Southeast, including Florida,
Georgia, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
You’ll enjoy the benefits of a free rewards program associated
with your debit card. You’ll be able to draw on the resources of
a large regional bank. You’ll still enjoy helpful, friendly service
from our client service staff — many of whom you already know.
Most important of all, you have our commitment to helping you
reach your goals by providing the financial advice and tools
you need. We look forward to getting to know you and learning
what’s giant to you in the different phases of your life.
As you read through this brochure and the other enclosed
materials, please know that we’re here to assist you in
any way we can. If you have questions, you can visit your
current bank branch. If you prefer, go to your current
bank Web site and click on the RBC Bank logo. You can also
send us an email at rbcmerge@rbc.com. Or, call our
Welcome Hotline at 1-888-769-2544.

Important
information for
you to know.
This brochure is designed as an introduction to RBC Bank
and to your new accounts and services. Every effort has
been made to give you products very similar to what you
general information
have now, but there will be some differences. In this
section, we’ll describe some of the changes that will
affect all clients.
To learn more about your specific accounts, please see
your enclosed personalized Account Summary. Find the
names of your new accounts. Then, look in this brochure
— and in the account disclosure booklet — for details
about your RBC Bank accounts and any changes.

Who we are
A financial services company,
headquartered in Raleigh, North
Carolina, offering a wide range of
financial services and advice, including
a complete line of banking and mortgage
services, to individuals, businesses
and public institutions throughout
the Southeast.
Since 2001, we have been a wholly
owned subsidiary of Royal Bank of
Canada, which makes us part of one
of the largest financial services
companies in North America. But
our roots are in community banking
— we’ve been taking care of clients
in the Southeast for over 100 years.
We’ve been steadily growing over that
time, and some of you may already be
familiar with us and our commitment
to deliver giant things for our clients.
Currently, our network includes more
than 380 full-service banking centers,
an extensive ATM network, and
telephone and Internet banking.
Your new bank name
We just recently went through a change
of our own. In early April, RBC Centura
Bank became known as RBC Bank.
It will take time to complete changes
in signage, so you may see locations
with either of our names. Please be
assured that it is all the same bank,
with the same range of products and
friendly client service.

The account conversion
Your branch will close at 2:00 p.m.
Central Standard Time (CST) on Friday,
June 20, 2008, and accounts will be
changed to RBC Bank. All account and
service conversions will be completed
over the weekend. Your branch will
reopen at normal hours as RBC Bank
on Monday, June 23, 2008.
Accessing your
checking account funds
Over the conversion weekend, you will
still have access to your accounts by
writing checks or by using your new
RBC Bank Visa* Check Card (debit
card) or ATM card. Please note you
must activate your new card first.
You will receive your new card the
week of June 9, 2008, and should
activate it upon receipt. Please do not
use your new card until after 4:00 p.m.
CST on Friday, June 20. Please
destroy your old debit or ATM card
at that same time. You will have
limited funds availability for point-ofsale transactions and ATM withdrawals
until 8:00 a.m. CST on Sunday, June 22.
At that time, your new daily limits
will apply. Your daily spend/withdrawal
limits may change — please refer to
the enclosure you receive with your
new card. You can use your new RBC
Bank card at any ATM. There is no
charge when you use an RBC Bank
ATM or Presto!* brand ATM at Publix
Super Markets.
Changes to your accounts
You’ll have new accounts with new
names. We have made every effort to
give you the same or similar features,
but there will be some differences.
Review the personalized Account
Summary and the account disclosure
information in this Welcome Kit, plus
product descriptions in this brochure,
to see your new account features.
We expect you’ll be happy with your
new accounts. But if you have any
questions or concerns, please let us
know. We will be glad to help you
select different products, where
possible, beginning June 23, 2008.
Account numbers
All deposit and loan account numbers
will change. Review your personalized
Account Summary to see your current
account name and number with your
new account name and number next
to it. In some cases, we did not list
your new loan account or card number,
but it will appear on your first RBC
Bank statement.
Debit/ATM cards
If you have a debit or ATM card to
access a checking account, you’ll
receive a new RBC Bank Visa Check
Card with free rewards. If you have
an ATM card to access just a savings
account, you’ll receive an RBC Bank
ATM card.
activating your card
Banking for all
the big and little
things in life.
We understand
they’re all
important to you.
4
Your current card will stop working
at 2:00 p.m. CST on Friday, June 20,
2008. Your RBC Bank card will arrive
the week of June 9, and will include
activation instructions. You may
activate your new card upon receipt.
Please do not start using your card
until after 4:00 p.m. CST on Friday,
June 20, 2008.
your pin
You’ll receive a separate mailing with
a new personal identification number
(PIN) for use with your new RBC Bank
card. If you like, you can change
your PIN at any RBC Bank ATM after
4:00 p.m. CST on Friday, June 20, 2008,
but you will need the original PIN you
receive in the mail in order to change it
to one you prefer.
After 4:00 p.m. CST on Friday, June 20,
you can begin using your RBC Bank
Visa Check Card (your debit card) at
any ATM (with limited funds availability
— see page 4 regarding account
access). You can also use the check
card to make purchases — in person,
over the phone, or online — anywhere
Visa cards are welcome. It’s like using
a check — the purchase amount comes
directly out of your checking account.
When you make a check card purchase,
be sure to request a signature
purchase or select “credit” instead
of a PIN purchase. That will qualify
your purchase for rewards points.
Visa check card rewards program
One great benefit of becoming an
RBC Bank client is that your Visa Check
Card allows you to qualify for our free
rewards program. Here’s how it works:
make a purchase anywhere Visa cards
are accepted. Use your card and sign
for your purchase — the amount will
be deducted from your checking
account. By making it a signed (not
a PIN) purchase, you’ll earn points
towards great rewards like free
flights, hotel stays, gift cards, and
merchandise from all kinds of national
5
retailers. Look for more information
in the RBC Bank Visa Check Card
mailing you’ll receive prior to the
account conversion.
Wealth management
If you currently have Trust or Asset
Management services through First
American Bank, your accounts will
transfer to RBC Bank Private Asset
Management. In the next few months,
you will receive a letter from your
current administrator regarding the
transition in June. There will be no
changes to your actual accounts or
administration process. If you have
brokerage accounts through NBC
Securities, those accounts will stay the
same, and NBC Securities will become
a subsidiary of RBC Bank in June.†
Internet banking
If you currently have Internet banking,
it will be converted to RBC Bank Online
Banking and Bill Pay. Please refer to
page 18.
Direct deposit
and automatic debit
If you’re using either of these services
with your deposit account, they should
continue uninterrupted. RBC Bank will
send a Notification of Change to the
originators of your electronic service
requesting a change to your new
account and routing numbers. Your
new RBC Bank routing and transit
number in Alabama will be
053100850, and in Florida it will
be 067012882. Please contact the
6
originator after the conversion to
confirm the change.
Wire transfers
Effective June 23, 2008, please use
your new RBC Bank account number
and routing number (Florida will be
067012882 and Alabama will be
053100850) for all wire transfers.
If this new information is not used, it
could result in a delay in the receipt
of the wire transfer.
Pre-authorized debit
card payment services
If you have recurring payments set
up on your current debit card, you will
need to contact the payee following
the account conversion to provide
your new RBC Bank Visa Check Card
number and expiration date. After 60
days from the conversion, any payment
made with your old account number
will be returned to the payee.
Gift/pre-paid cards
If you have a pre-paid Visa gift card
with your current bank, it will still
be valid. Continue to access and use
the card just as you do now.
Safe deposit boxes
If you now have a safe deposit box,
you will keep the same box and
location unless otherwise notified.
Monthly service fee waivers
We will waive the monthly service
charge associated with your new
RBC Bank checking accounts through
your August 2008 statement. Please
note that other fees (e.g., overdraft
fees, non-sufficient funds, non-RBC
Bank ATM charges) will still apply.
For information on avoiding monthly
service fees, see the chart on pages
10-11. For complete details on account
fees — including any changes — see the
enclosed account disclosure.
Statements
Your new deposit and loan account
statements will be as close to your
current statement date as possible, but
there may be changes. Your last
statement from your current bank
will be as of June 20, including interest
accrued through June 20. You’ll receive
your first RBC Bank statement between
June 26 and July 26, 2008.
If you currently receive e-statements,
you will begin receiving monthly
statements by mail after the account
conversion. If you have a duplicate
statement mailed to a separate
address, this service will continue.
Overdraft protection (ODP)
RBC Bank does not charge an annual
fee for overdraft protection (ODP).
If your checking account is linked to a
single account for overdraft protection,
the account linkage will continue after
conversion. To see what overdraft
options are available with your new
checking accounts, review the table
on pages 10-11. For more information
on your ODP credit line, please see
page 15 of this brochure, as your
terms and conditions will change.
Interest information
If you have an interest-bearing
account, whether checking or savings,
your interest will be compounded and
paid monthly. For more details, please
see the account disclosure booklet.
FDIC insurance
RBC Bank is a member of the FDIC, and
deposits are insured as provided under
FDIC rules and regulations.
For clients who hold deposits in any
two or more of both RBC Bank and any
Alabama National BanCorporation (ANB)
banks (listing on page 25) prior to the
conversion date, the deposits, other
than CDs, from each institution will
continue to be separately insured in their
respective ownership categories for six
months following the acquisition date.
CDs will continue to be separately
insured in their ownership categories
until the earliest maturity date for each
individual CD after the end of the sixmonth period following the conversion.
CDs that mature during the six-month
period and are rolled over for the same
term and in the same dollar amount
(either with or without accrued interest)
will continue to be separately insured
until the first maturity date after the
six-month period. A CD renewed on
any other basis (different term or dollar
amount), or not renewed to become
a demand deposit account, will be
separately insured only to the end
of the six-month period.
Please note that federal law provides
for insurance coverage of up to
$250,000 for self-directed retirement
accounts, including IRAs.

enclosed Account Summary).
Personal Savings
This is a good basic account that
helps you save while earning interest.
It offers the ability to easily access
your money when needed. The $5.00

are under age 18 or over age 65 or
have a senior savings account at your
current bank.

from your savings or money market

Federal regulation limits the number of
withdrawals and/or transfers that may
be made from a savings account by
telephone/PC transfer, pre-authorized
transfer, check or check card. You are
limited to six (6) withdrawals and/or
transfers from your savings account
each monthly statement cycle by preauthorized transfer, or telephone/PC
transfer (including any bill payments).
And, if the account permits transfers
by check or check card, no more than
three (3) of the six (6) limited transfers
may be by check. Please see the
enclosed account disclosure booklet
and review the Personal Schedule
of Fees and account disclosure
for additional account fees and
information regarding your new
RBC Bank accounts.
RBC Bank Certificates of Deposit
If you currently have a CD, there will
be no change to the interest rate or
maturity date until your CD matures.
Unless otherwise stated, all CDs are
automatically renewed. You’ll receive
a maturity and renewal notice if your
CD is less than $100,000 and is
automatically renewable with a term
greater than or equal to 30 days.
The grace period for renewable CDs is
ten days. If the term of your CD is 7-29
days, the grace period is five days,
and a renewal notice will not be sent.
If your CD is greater than $100,000 or
a CD with an original single maturity,
it will not automatically renew.
Additional deposits may not be
made to a certificate until maturity.
Withdrawal limits and penalties
associated with your current CD
will still apply.
If you have a CDAR with your current
bank, it will continue with no changes.
These are not listed on your Account
Summary with your other accounts.

Personal loans and lines of credit
Your loan accounts will be transferred
to RBC Bank. Please see the enclosed
Account Summary for specific
information about your new accounts.
Payments
LOAN ACCOUNTS
Personal loan products
and information.
Our personal lending products are just some of the
tools we use to help you make something giant
happen. Whether it’s a mortgage on your first home
or a vacation cottage — remodeling the kitchen —
or just getting new appliances — our loans and lines
of credit can help make a difference in your
financial life. This section will explain more about
the lending products we offer.
14
Your payment due dates for loans
and lines of credit should remain
the same. Please use your current
coupons until you receive new
coupons or a statement from RBC
Bank after conversion. Once received,
please destroy your old coupons and
begin using the new coupons or follow
the instructions on your statement.
In the meantime, simply write your
new account number (which you’ll
find on the enclosed Account
Summary) on your check and on
your old coupon and mail these
to: RBC Bank, PO Box 1070,
Charlotte, NC 28201-1070.
If you are currently using automatic
drafts to make loan payments, this
service will continue. However, please
make note of the following change.
You can draft the payment due (and
any additional amount you may want
to pay against the principal) only
on the due date. Drafts occurring on
other dates will not continue. RBC
Bank does not accept or aggregate
drafts initiated on other dates during
the month. This applies only to
automatic drafts. You may schedule
one-time or recurring payments to
your loan or line accounts via your
Online Banking.
Interest rates
Unless otherwise disclosed in this
brochure, your rate will stay the
same with one exception. If you have
a variable rate loan tied to your current
bank prime rate, the rate will change
to one based on RBC Bank Prime.
Please see the enclosed account
disclosure booklet for information
about rates.
Personal Installment Loan
If you have an installment loan
at your current bank, it will be
transferred to an RBC Bank personal
installment loan. Your current terms
and conditions will continue.
Overdraft Protection (ODP)
If you currently use a credit line for
overdraft protection, this service will
convert to an RBC Bank CreditLine
or CreditLine Plus account. You will
receive a separate statement for your
ODP account. Please note that the
terms and conditions of your ODP will
change — see the enclosed account
disclosure booklet for details.
If your current ODP credit line covers
more than one deposit account, your
local banker will contact you with
information about how your multiple
accounts may be covered.
Welcome Hotline 1-888-769-2544
15
Please note: ODP fees will be charged
to your checking account. Your credit
line account will no longer be charged

will apply for advances from the line
of credit. Please see the enclosed
account disclosure booklet for
more information.
