Provide all trainees with a renowned certificate that helps other parties recognize their ICT skills. Syllabus: The subject matter for each of the ICDL Modules as per your ICDL profile: 1. Computer Essentials (Use of devices, file creation and management, networks, and data security) 2. Online Essentials (web browsing, effective information search, online communication and email) 3. Advanced Word Processing (i.e. Microsoft Word) 4. Advanced Spreadsheets (i.e. Microsoft Excel) 5. Advanced Presentation (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint) 6. IT Security (secure use of ICT in daily life, use the internet safely and securely, and managing data and information) ICDL version 5 syllabus should be reviewed for ICDL Modules syllabus details. Assessment: To achieve an ICDL certificate, candidates must pass an exam per ICDL module. These exams may be taken in any ICDL authorized testing center any time after the candidate finishes a module. Notes: 1. A candidate has 45 minutes to complete each of the ICDL exams. 2. No books or other help may be used during the tests. 3. The passing mark for each exam is 75%. 4. The tests may be taken in any sequence. Use the portal username and password to access your personal account on learn-online: How to access Learn-online? Using this service is as easy as 1-2-3! 1. Go to: http://learn-online.almawakeb.sch.ae and select your school or click the Learn-online button from the school portal. 2. Enter your username and password then click Login. 3. Choose the course you would like to start with. And voila, you just started your first ICDL course. Below is a list of the courses available on learn-online for every ICDL module. You will have to take those courses and then sit for a primer test to prepare for the actual exam. Some of the courses have prerequisites; make sure you are taking them in the correct order. Detailed information on the course is available on Learn-online. Exams will be scheduled by the school administration and opened to candidates who have successfully completed the primers. Every module and its exam are expected to take 2-3 weeks to complete on average in the order that is suitable to you.
